BRIGHTON BIERHAUS | BRIGHTON'S BEST BEER PUB | GERMAN, BELGIAN AND UK CRAFT BEER
THE MAGPIES, Terries and Seagulls will be at each other’s throats for most of the season as they battle it out for Premier League survival.
But Brighton and Hove, Huddersfield and Newcastle have come together in the shape of their brewers to create the taste of promotion success.
Brighton Bier has teamed up with Yorkshire-based Magic Rock and Geordie beermaker Wylam to celebrate the three teams joining the Premier League party this year.
The clubs had mixed fortunes in the return to the big time last weekend.
Huddersfield thrashed Crystal Palace in their first top-flight game in 44 years but Newcastle lost at home to Spurs as they returned to the Premier League after a year away.
Albion bravely went down 2-0 against title favourites Manchester City at the Amex in their first top-flight game in 34 years.
Beer lovers from Brighton Bier and Magic Rock travelled to Newcastle this summer to brew at Wylam brewery, creating the “elevated pale ale” RIZE UP!
The first pour of the new beer took place in Brighton Bierhaus, at the corner of Edward Street and George Street, yesterday.
The venue, which opened up in the refurbished grade II listed Jury’s Out in April, is the first pub in the city to stock the beer with customers able to sup the collaborative beer on draught or from a can.
The Bierhaus has been getting into the spirit of the new football season by offering members and season ticket holders of Albion and Whitehawk FC a ten per cent discount on all Brighton Biers on home match-days between noon and kick-off.
Brighton Bier has been picking up silverware of its own in recent weeks after winning four prestigious international awards this summer including a gold medal for Old Skool, the Best Black IPA in the UK for Lucky Boy and two bronze medals at the International Beer Awards.
It is the third year in a row that the company, which has a brewery on the Bell Tower Industrial Estate in Roedean Road, has won international awards for their beers.
Brighton Bier co-director Stephen Whitehurst said: “With Premier League football upon us once more excitement is palpable for the new season in Brighton, Huddersfield and Newcastle.
“So what could be better to mark their ascendancy than the leading breweries in the three cities getting together and collaborating on a new special edition beer.”
Brighton Bierhaus is Brighton's best beer bar with the largest range of beers in the city. This page lets you know a little more about our history and what we've been up to. Cheers!
